Perdus pendant 50 ans, ces concerts nouvellement découverts ont été filmés au Festival de Jazz d'Antibes en France en 1961 et montrent Ray Charles dans sa période de prédilection avec les Raeletts originaux et son groupe le plus légendaire (dont David "Fathead" Newman et Hank Crawford). Ces premiers concerts qu'il ait jamais donnés en Europe ont permis à Ray Charles de devenir l'une des stars internationales les plus vénérées que l'Amérique ait jamais produites.
